The One Thing That's Needful

Feb 6, 2020

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues the series, “When You Don’t Understand His Hand, Trust His Heart.” Dr. Funches picks up where she left off in the last message, the very vital topic about how when you can’t understand God’s hand, you must trust His heart. In every believer’s life, there are going to be times — maybe even seasons — when we just don’t understand what it is that God is doing, or possibly don’t understand why God isn’t doing something that we feel He needs to do.

Dr. Funches returns to John 11 and Martha, Mary, and Lazarus and shares how much she can relate to needing a miracle from God in the most grievous and even fearful circumstances. Martha seemed not to understand the hand of the Lord when she told Him Lazarus would not have died if the Lord had been there, but she showed her faith that even after Lazarus died, Jesus could heal him and raise him from death. Dr. Funches emphasizes Jesus revealing Himself as the resurrection and the life.

Listen in to hear how you can trust in God’s heart as a New Covenant believer of Jesus.
