The One Thing That's Needful

Jun 2, 2022

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and delves into the topic of No More Condemnation. Dr. Funches stresses the importance of seeing this truth in the Word of God and of letting God establish it and settle it in our hearts. We have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. God does not condemn us and we should not condemn ourselves. Dr. Funches shows in the Word of God that it was God’s idea to send Jesus. God loved us before Jesus went to the cross. God’s love came first. It is unconditional. God is love, no matter what we do or don’t do. God sent Jesus to redeem us from sin, once and for all. God says He will remember lawless deeds no more. As we learned in the previous weeks, as New Covenant believers, we are no longer living under the law and are no longer under the condemnation of the law. Dr. Funches reviews the account of the woman with an issue of blood to illustrate the mercy and grace that Jesus showed to her by healing her when she demonstrated her faith in Him.

Please listen as Dr. Funches examines the blessings of no more condemnation after getting to know God through His Word.

KEY BIBLE VERSES

[3:08] John 3:16–17, NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

[6:23] Genesis 1–4, (full chapters; Adam and Eve)

[9:12] 1 John 2:12, NKJV 12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

[10:03] Romans 8:1, NKJV 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

[15:27] Hebrews 8:12, NKJV 12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

[16:30] Isaiah 43:25, NKJV 25  “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.”

[27:04] Leviticus 15:19–21, NKJV 19 "If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. 20 Everything that she lies on during her impurity shall be unclean; also everything that she sits on shall be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

[28:27] Mark 5:25:34, NKJV 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
